Buffalo shooting spree – Weapons seller crushed: “I feel terrible”

After the horrific bloody crime at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, with ten dead – krone.at reports – more details about the gunman are coming to light. The owner of a gun shop in New York, who sold the gunman the assault rifle he used for the murder, feels guilty.

“The man was totally inconspicuous. I know I didn’t do anything wrong, but I feel terrible,” said the distraught owner of the gun store where the 18-year-old gunman bought the assault rifle.

“We know that Payton Gendron looked around the area and the supermarket (where he killed 10 people),” said Chief Constable Joseph Gramaglia. The FBI, meanwhile, took a close look at the 18-year-old’s home.

American media described the supermarket where the killing took place as an important meeting place for residents of the district. The 18-year-old suspect (pictured below) was arrested at the crime scene. He is in jail and is due to appear in court on Thursday.

In the US, this theory is increasingly finding proponents in talk shows on right-wing broadcasters and parts of the Republican Party. The researchers assume a racist motive, eleven of the 13 deaths were black.

A manifesto has also appeared online, allegedly coming from the perpetrator and containing racist and violent statements. There is also talk of the “Great Replacement Theory”, a conspiracy myth of the far right. Accordingly, non-white members of other religions work specifically to “replace” white Christians of European descent.

US President Joe Biden traveled to New York City on Tuesday after the deadly shooting in Buffalo. The White House said he would grieve there with his wife Jill and the community.
