A green construction project in Salzburg has been praised as a flagship project by Climate Protection Minister Leonore Gewessler. The apartment prices for the 42 units are approximately 10,000 euros per square meter. For KPÖplus boss Kay-Michael Dankl, these are “completely overpriced real estate investments again”. Affordable housing in Mozart’s city is rare.
Leonore Gewessler was full of praise during her stop in Salzburg in the summer: “The Am Hirschengrün project is truly a great flagship project for climate-friendly construction and renovation and, with its beautiful greenery, provides sustainable added value to the entire neighborhood. ”
From a climate perspective, the Minister of Climate Protection’s joy is somewhat understandable: more than 1,000 cubic meters of wood will be used in the project in Elisabeth-Vorstadt next to Hotel Zum Hirschen. It is one of the largest timber construction sites in the country.
