The bus of line 7A drove on Inzersdorfer Straße towards Meidlinger Hauptstraße shortly after 12:00. The man came from Siccardsburggasse on his bicycle and wanted to cross Inzersdorfer Straße. According to Wiener Linien, he ignored a stop sign and collided with the bus.

The driver applied emergency braking, but was unable to avoid the collision with the cyclist, who collided with the side of the vehicle.
