Monday morning, shortly after 9:30 am, highway A12 Inntal in the Tyrolean lowlands: a highway police patrol did what it is responsible for: checking whether everything went well. The officers noticed a 50-year-old truck driver who was driving anything but according to the law. Instead of focusing entirely on traffic and driving his truck, he enjoyed watching a movie!

On a laptop that the local resident had placed between the steering wheel and the windshield. The truck driver was eventually pulled out of traffic by the patrol at the Radfeld checkpoint (Kufstein district) and confronted.
Traveling without a driver card
It turns out that ‘enjoying the cinema’ wasn’t the only transgression during the trip. “The driver card has been tampered with,” investigators say. The suspect drove without an inserted driver’s card. In addition, rest periods were subsequently booked.
The 50-year-old is now reported to the Kufstein district administration for various administrative violations and to the Innsbruck Public Prosecutor’s Office on suspicion of criminal offences.
