Yep, what sweets are in the fridge? That’s probably what a 70-year-old retiree from the Villach district thought when he ate three muffins that his wife kept there. The problem: these were very special cakes…
A 66-year-old retiree accidentally sent her husband to the hospital on Sunday. What had happened? The woman bought a pack of three hash cookies during a church trip to Amsterdam. She introduced this during the bus trip back to Austria.
She kept the “cupcakes,” which were laced with cannabis, in the refrigerator in the kitchen. Her 70-year-old husband helped himself Sunday around 2:30 p.m. He apparently knew nothing about the contents of the muffins, police said. So he ate all three in one go.
The woman was reported
The effect occurred relatively quickly. The man complained of health problems. He suffered from swallowing, breathing and circulation problems. When he asked his wife what he had consumed, she called the emergency services.
The pensioner was taken to Villach LKH for further care. The woman will also be reported under the Narcotics Drugs Act.
