On Thursday, a relationship dispute in Vienna-Favoriten had unexpected consequences: the woman attacked her partner with a broomstick. The police had to separate the two fighters.
As the argument between the couple continued to escalate, the 29-year-old entered the kitchen of their shared apartment, grabbed a knife and made several stabbing motions towards her partner.
But that wasn’t enough, the woman then grabbed a broomstick and hit her boyfriend several times.
Woman temporarily arrested
The suspect was temporarily arrested on suspicion of dangerous threats and bodily harm and was released on the orders of the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Partner injured after attack
An entry and approach ban and a temporary weapons ban were issued against them. The 29-year-old partner suffered redness on his forearm and an abrasion on the back of his hand as a result of the incident.
