About a hundred firefighters had to respond early on Sunday morning to extinguish a burning residential building in Gallizien (Carinthia). The homeowner was injured in the fire and had to be taken to hospital.
Shortly after 1 a.m., sirens sounded in Galicia and neighboring communities. For unknown reasons, a fire broke out on the ground floor of a single-family home. Despite immediate extinguishing attempts by seven fire brigades, parts of the house were severely damaged.

The 51-year-old homeowner suffered injuries as a result of the fire and had to be taken to hospital in Klagenfurt by ambulance.
The exact amount of damage has not yet been determined. Fire investigators will determine the exact cause of the fire in the coming days.
