Gruesome discovery in the Tyrolean Ötztal: Over the weekend, several animal carcasses were discovered in a parking lot next to the main road in the municipality of Umhausen. It is currently completely unclear who threw them there. The police are hoping for witnesses.
“There are several deer and a chamois,” police say. The deer meat was removed from the animals and it mainly concerned the fur, bones and head at the location where they were found: a parking lot in the area of Östen. “The carcasses were dumped on the dike or bank area of the Ötztaler Ache,” the researchers explain. According to the investigations, the animals were professionally gutted, the meat was removed and only the slaughterhouse waste was removed.
