A 35-year-old woman died this afternoon after an industrial accident when she crashed into a tree with a tractor and trailer in an apple orchard in Aduna (Gipuzkoa).
As reported by the security department of the Basque government, SOS Deiak received a call reporting an industrial accident in the Goiburu district, in Aduna, around 2:40 p.m.
Firefighters, Ertzaintza and an ambulance rushed to the scene, but the doctor was only able to confirm the death of the woman, who was apparently picking apples. While driving a tractor-trailer, the vehicle slid backwards and struck a tree.
The Ertzaintza has opened an investigation to clarify what happened. Osalan technicians also traveled to the scene of the accident.
