A young Innviertler (19) was seriously injured in an accident in Neukirchen an der Enknach. His car left the road and then overturned several times. Witnesses to the accident reported that the man was driving at excessive speed.
The 19-year-old from Altheim was driving his car on the B156 from Braunau towards Handenberg in the municipality of Neukirchen an der Enknach on Wednesday evening around 9.40 pm. Near Bogendorf he left the road to the right, drove over an embankment, rolled over several times and ended up on the roof after about 120 meters.
Excessive speed as a cause of an accident
He was thrown from the car during the accident and suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the emergency doctor. After initial treatment, the seriously injured man was taken to Braunau Hospital. Witnesses to the accident stated that the driver was clearly driving too fast. The B156 was closed for about an hour while the accident was recorded and rescue work carried out.
