Explosive investigations – The inspector as a drug dealer in the Darknet

Date:

Investigations in “our own stable”: Sensitive investigations against an inspector from Upper Austria have been ongoing for seven months – the “Krone” knows details about the suspended officer’s alleged drug offenses and why he could have ended up in this quagmire in the first place.

“Do it, Mr. Inspector, there was nothing wrong with that. Oiso losen S’ mi in Ruah, I dat’s jo kno waunn’s so is” – after the blow from Seiler and Speer, a police officer from Upper Austria, who has been suspended for seven months, remains silent about serious accusations from investigators and the police. prosecution.

Large amount of addictive substances
The officer from the Vöcklabruck district is said to have bought party drugs, more specifically amphetamines – better known as speed or pep -, consumed them himself and also passed them on. There is talk of about a kilo of addictive substances. “It is an amount that exceeds the limit,” confirms Christoph Weber of the Wels public prosecutor’s office, confirming the investigation against the officer and his partner.

The police officer’s colleagues came across the couple in February while investigating the dark web, where they were tracking illegal drug orders. State police headquarters responded and suspended the officer in mid-February, and he was also temporarily arrested.

As investigations by the Upper Austrian Criminal Police showed, the inspector slipped into the drug swamp via the bodybuilding scene. In strength training circles it is said that amphetamines are used for forbidden stimulation and for increased strength.

Civil servant is threatened with loss of his job and pension
When questioned, his partner stated that the drug had been illegally ordered for personal use since 2018. Whether and how much was traded is now the subject of close investigation.

The disciplinary board is also informed about the sensitive case. Because an unconditional sentence of more than six months or a suspended sentence of more than one year risks losing both office and pension.

The Vöcklabruck lawyer Andreas Meißner confirmed to the “Krone” the suspicion against the police officer, who is considered innocent: “The investigation is ongoing, but at the moment no statement can be made about this case due to the completely open outcome of the research .”
