A Tyrolean from the Netherlands sees himself punished beyond measure. The man received ten parking fines on the highway on the way to skiing in a very short time. Insight: none!
“Something like that wouldn’t exist in the Netherlands.” With these words, Mr. M. (full name known to the editors) criticizes the actions of the Tyrolean police and authorities. On March 5, the Dutchman, who as a Tyrolean lives in the lowlands by choice, was on the Inntal highway at 6:53 am – skiing, as he himself says. M. admits to the “Tiroler Krone” that he is actually driving too fast. “I have a fast car.”
Civilian police patrols became aware of speeders
Unfortunately for M., there was a plainclothes police patrol that day. Of course, she immediately became aware of the speeder. Why the Dutchman is only now reporting to the editor: “I recently received two letters from the district council.” It states which laws within the meaning of the traffic regulations M. violated on his way to fun on the slopes.
No pointer, no distance and 56 km/h too fast
M. now has to pay a total of 3,885 euros for twelve (!) violations that he allegedly committed in just 26 minutes. ‘You did not indicate the impending change of direction, as a result of which other road users could not prepare for the approaching event’ or ‘You did not maintain such a distance from a vehicle in front of you in the same lane that this would have happened’ possible to detect in time stop even if the vehicle in front brakes suddenly. “A time interval of 0.48 seconds was determined using video measurements,” it says more than once.
Meanwhile, the traffic offender also had an impressive 156 km/h on his speedometer instead of the permitted 100 km/h.
“I drink a maximum of four glasses of wine per year”
M. basically acknowledges that he will be punished. “But the fact that you get twelve penalties at the same time is unbelievable,” he says angrily. But that is not the only thing that angers the Tyrolean electors. Because he had to answer to the officials at the parking lot on the Koreth highway in Tulfes. “The police did not use an interpreter. The letter accuses me of being under the influence of drugs and refusing to go to the doctor. But there was never any talk about drugs. I drink a maximum of four glasses of wine per year. Otherwise I won’t take anything,” M. states emphatically.
Be that as it may, the Dutchman may have set a new record with twelve fouls in such a short time. And will he take his foot off the accelerator in the future? Probably not. “It’s just a fast car,” M. repeats in conclusion.
