Man (24) arrested – suitcase with body parts left at bridge

Date:

Police have arrested a suspect after two suitcases containing human remains were found near a bridge in Britain. The victims have not yet been identified.

The 24-year-old man was arrested in Bristol and is now being taken to London for questioning, police said Saturday. No other suspects are being sought.

Police in Bristol were alerted late on Wednesday night to a man behaving suspiciously on the famous Clifton suspension bridge in the south-west English city.

Suitcase with body parts
When police arrived, the man had already fled. However, investigators discovered the two suitcases with human remains. The victims have not yet been identified, but police believe the remains are those of two adult males.

London police have taken over the investigation after there are indications that the suspect had previously travelled from the British capital to Bristol. The Clifton Suspension Bridge over the River Avon, opened in 1864, is one of Bristol’s most famous landmarks and a city landmark.

More parts in London apartment
Officers have since arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with the incident, but later released him. It was said he was not the 24-year-old who investigators have been searching for since Thursday with a public appeal.

According to recent reports, police have found additional body parts during searches of a London apartment that could be linked to the finds in Bristol.
