In Hall (Tirol), the emergency services had to cordon off and search the state hospital on a large scale on Friday evening after a bomb threat. The all-clear could only be given after a few hours. Now the anonymous caller has been traced. The suspect, a 32-year-old Moroccan, appears to be in hiding.
On Friday evening around 6:30 pm, the police station in Hall received an anonymous call threatening that there was a bomb in the hospital. A large-scale operation followed with some 40 officers. The area has been cordoned off over a large area and searched by experts and sniffer dogs.
Search was negative
However, the hospital was not evacuated. “Medical emergencies were diverted to hospitals in Schwaz and Innsbruck during the operation,” police said. At 10:15 pm everything was finally released. The search of the building was negative.
After intensive investigation, a 32-year-old Moroccan was identified as a suspect. “However, according to current knowledge, there is no indication of the man’s whereabouts in Austria,” the researchers said. The reason for the threat is still unclear.
