In Slovenia, fuel prices are set by the government every two weeks. Now it’s going up again. From Tuesday, a liter of regular petrol will rise by 3.7 cents to 1,588 euros, the price of diesel will rise by 6.4 cents to 1,664 euros.
The new prices, which the Slovenian government sets every two weeks, will remain valid until October 9, the Energy Ministry of our neighboring country announced on Monday.
The price development is based on the world market
For more than a year, regulated fuel prices in Slovenia have been calculated using a method based on the price development of petroleum products on the world market and the development of the exchange rate of the US dollar against the euro.
Be careful at highway gas stations!
However, the government is considering extending price regulation for another year, reports STA news agency. In Slovenia, price regulation only applies to petrol stations outside the motorway network; At the petrol stations along the highway, the operators determine the prices.
