In northeastern Mexico, authorities have found the mutilated bodies of seven men in the city of Monterrey. All were probably victims of a dispute within a drug cartel.
The remains were found in plastic bags and coolers at several locations in the city of Monterrey. It is a major international industrial location, but one dominated by rival gangs.
Initial investigations showed that the killings were related to “fights within a criminal organization,” according to the security minister of Nuevo León state.
Revenge messages to rival criminals found
Authorities believe the murders are linked because messages of revenge for rival criminals were found on the bodies.
