In Fendels (Landeck district) in Tyrol, the police are looking for witnesses after unknown perpetrators opened several barrels of cement accelerator on Tuesday evening.
According to police, the unknown assailants struck between 8:10 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the storage room of a construction site on Fendler Landesstraße. They opened the drain valve of some plastic barrels, causing approximately 4,000 liters of cement accelerator to flow out. The fire brigade had to come out to bind the liquid. The extent of the damage caused by the vandalism cannot yet be quantified.
Looking for clues
Police are now looking for the unknown perpetrators who may have turned on the tap and are asking for information from the public. A cyclist was said to have been in the area shortly before the incident; he was between 35 and 40 years old.
