To finance his drug use, a mentally ill man attacked a gas station in St. Pölten. Now he had to answer to the regional court of St. Pölten for attempted theft and dangerous threats.
Fingers in his pistol-shaped jacket pocket, hood pulled low over his forehead, an FFP2 mask on his face: well “camouflaged”, a 25-year-old entered a gas station in St. Pölten at the end of March and demanded money. But his wish was not listened to by the employees, so the criminal had to leave without achieving anything.
Long-term therapy recommended
Now the man had to answer for attempted theft and dangerous threats at the regional court in St. Pölten. He was arrested in Vienna just three days before the crime, after rioting in front of the Schweizerhaus wearing only his underpants. His drug use and an unauthorized trip to Colombia, despite the suspended sentences, did not exactly soften his sentence.
In addition, the young man had large holes in his memory. The verdict: two years in prison, including admission to an institution for mentally disturbed offenders.
