After three years in a row of double-digit growth, 2022 brought the expected turning point: Globally, private household financial assets fell by an average of 2.7 percent – the sharpest decline since the 2008 global financial crisis, according to Allianz’s results Global Wealth Report”, for which the insurance company analyzed for the fourteenth time in a row the financial assets and debts of private households in almost 60 countries, including Austria.
