The tears have not dried yet. And many will still cry. Since September 14, the lives of Irene Poimer from Linz and her family have been turned upside down. Because on Thursday her youngest son Michael (29) left for a big mountain trip. He should have been home again on Saturday. But he didn’t show up.
On Sunday, his worried mother raised the alarm at the mountain rescue service and also asked for help in finding her missing son with a moving message on Facebook. This was shared 1799 times. But all effort, all hope was in vain: on Monday, September 18, Michael Poimer was found near Föhrengrabeneck. He fell a hundred meters and died.
