A driver (39) lost control of her vehicle after slamming on the brakes and slid along the Rhine Valley highway with her daughter in the back seat. The two were lucky and suffered only minor injuries.
A seven-year-old child and his 39-year-old mother were only slightly injured in an accident on the A14 near Klaus on Thursday afternoon. The woman was driving her vehicle in the fast lane towards Tyrol around 5 p.m. when another driver stopped shortly in front of her.
To avoid a collision with the vehicle in front, the driver hit the brakes. However, the 39-year-old lost control of the vehicle. Mother and daughter skidded across the lanes and eventually crashed into the guardrail next to the emergency lane. The completely destroyed car remained a few meters away.
Leaving the hospital again
The two women escaped with minor injuries and horror. They were taken to hospital for further examination, but were able to leave in the evening. Vehicles were stuck on the Rhine Valley highway. The right lane was closed for approximately one hour during the recording of the accident and subsequent clean-up efforts.
