Small loot – couple broke into newspaper cash register: arrest

Date:

On Sunday, a Bulgarian in Traboch (Styria) broke into the cash register of a newspaper together with his wife. They were observed and reported by a witness. The police were able to quickly track down and arrest the thieves – because the couple had also violated the Aliens Police.

This theft was probably not worth it: on Sunday afternoon a witness in Traboch (Leoben district) saw a man break open a newspaper cash register with a knife. He then fled with a woman.

The police immediately launched a manhunt and arrested the couple ten minutes later. During the search of the 48-year-old Bulgarian’s house, a Leatherman and coins were found. The man and his 37-year-old wife have confessed.

According to police, the couple had also violated the requirements of the Alien Police Act and were therefore arrested and taken to the Graz police detention center.
