A dead woman (91) has been confusing the Viennese police since Monday evening. Officers were called to the city center for resuscitation, but the emergency doctor could only determine that the elderly woman was dead. Due to the nature of the discovery, investigators cannot rule out foul play.
It was around 6:35 p.m. when emergency services from the Laurenzerberg police station in central Vienna were called to the old lady’s apartment. The emergency doctor from the professional rescue team already tried to resuscitate the woman, without success.
Negligence of third parties cannot be ruled out
But the 91-year-old’s death raises questions among officials. Due to the unusual discovery situation, malicious intent on the part of the manager could not be completely ruled out. Therefore, a judicial autopsy was proposed. The Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department continues the investigation.
