Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced the attack from Granada, where he is attending the European Political Community summit.
At least 51 people died this Thursday due to a new one Russian attack about the city of Kupiansk, in the Ukrainian region of Kharkiv. According to the latest assessment of the Ukrainian authorities, several minors are among the fatalities.
Kharkov Governor Oleg Sinegubov reported that the attack took place around 1:15 p.m. on a cafe and a supermarket in the small town of Groza, which belongs to the Kupiansk district. “The enemy has committed another war crime in the Kharkov region. (…) There were many civilians,” Sinegubov complained.
For his part, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has described the attack as a “completely deliberate act of terror” and branded as “criminals” anyone helping Russia evade sanctions. “All those who support Russia so far support evil. Russia needs this and similar terrorist attacks to make its genocidal aggression the new norm for the entire world,” he denounced.
Zelensky took the opportunity to recall that he will meet next Thursday with European leaders at the summit taking place in Granada, Spain, to emphasize, among other things, the need for Ukraine to continue receiving arms support from its partners.
