89-year-old robbed – owner didn’t notice: break-in during lunchtime

An unknown perpetrator gained access to a residential building in Wolfsberg around noon on Thursday through an open window and stole a collection of coins there. The 89-year-old homeowner did not notice the break-in. Witnesses saw the perpetrator flee.

An unknown perpetrator was particularly brutal in Wolfsberg on Thursday. The man climbed through an open window into a residential building in Wolfsberg and stole a coin collection from the 89-year-old homeowner’s bedside table, consisting of 10, 25 and 50 Schilling coins, worth about 250 euros.

While the homeowner didn’t notice the break-in, eyewitnesses saw the man flee. An immediate search by the police has so far turned up nothing.
