A joyride on a moped ended fatally for two young people in the Tyrolean lowlands this weekend: a 16-year-old resident lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an iron fence. She suffered serious injuries. Her passenger, of the same age, was also injured.
The accident happened on Saturday evening shortly after 9:30 PM in Thiersee. The 16-year-old local woman was riding her moped on a municipal road in the Landl district when she suddenly left the road and crashed into an iron fence.

“The driver and a passenger of the same age fell as a result of the impact,” police said. The girl suffered serious facial injuries. After the first treatment, she was admitted to the Kufstein district hospital.
The 16-year-old boy also suffered injuries in the accident.
