Very complex approach – Hamas attack requires “years of planning”.

Date:

The situation in Israel remains extremely tense following the extensive Hamas attacks from the Gaza Strip: “There were attacks on the ground, from the air and by sea. Many Hamas fighters have entered Israel through the border fence and are active there,” said Kronen Zeitung editor-in-chief Paul Tikal in an interview on krone.tv. “This is a very complex matter and certainly required months of planning, perhaps even years of planning.”

The attack on Israel was carried out by Hamas with numerous rockets, but also with drones and bulldozers. The fighters who entered Israeli territory shot at civilians and kidnapped numerous hostages. These hostages are now being positioned by Hamas in the Gaza Strip as human shields against military targets to break the expected Israeli counterattack.

Why the Israeli secret service did not foresee the major attack will probably be questioned for a long time to come: “The Mossad will have to endure very unpleasant questions about it,” Tikal said, with a realistic view of the unhindered cause of the Hamas attack.

However, at the moment it does not appear that other countries will actively intervene in the fighting: “So far, the action must be seen as a brutal terrorist attack by Hamas. From the current perspective, it is unlikely that this will result in a major cross-border war in the Middle East,” Tikal said. However, the largest mobilization in Israel’s history is currently taking place.

You can see many more details, such as how the number of victims will develop, in the video above.
