Shortly before her first day of school, little Leilah (6) was crushed by a block of stone during a hike to the Hohenzoller Waterfall in Bad Ischl in early September. The investigation against the two caretakers for negligent homicide has now been stopped.
The Welsh Public Prosecution Service has stopped the investigation into two caregivers on suspicion of negligent homicide of a six-year-old child. The girl suffered a fatal accident in early September during a trip with eight children from Strobl (Salzburg) to the Hohenzoller Waterfall in the municipality of Bad Ischl (Upper Austria). She was playing in the stream bed of the Saiherbach when a block of stone came loose, fell with the girl and crushed her.
No neglect
The Public Prosecution Service confirms this in a report in ‘It could not be proven that the healthcare providers neglected their duty of care or supervision.’Upper AustrianVolksblatt” on Wednesday. The reason: the girl died in an unavoidable accident.
The little one – she would have had her first day of school shortly afterwards – was with her sister, six other children and two caregivers. A kindergarten teacher (52) organized the trip for former protégés. A colleague (45) accompanied me.
