Psychiatrist legend Reinhard Haller has compiled reports on serial killer Jack Unterweger and letter bomber Franz Fuchs. But the abomination in Israel still terrifies him. In an interview with the “Krone”, the expert explains that the revenge cycle between Palestinians and Israelis will not end too quickly after the atrocities committed by the terrorists.
“Kron”: Mr. Haller, we are currently receiving very terrible images from Israel. How do you, as a psychiatrist, assess the situation?
Reinhard Haller: Personally, I am of course shocked and sad that something like this can still happen in this world. But it is probably an illusion of our time that there should be no more armed conflicts. War is always the father of evil and behind it, as always, hatred and revenge are the driving forces.
