A 47-year-old father beat his daughter’s alleged rapist with a wooden pole in Munich. His 19-year-old daughter had apparently been friends with a 37-year-old man for weeks when they both spent the night at the apartment of one of the man’s friends, a police department spokesman said Sunday. There the man allegedly abused and hit the young woman.
The 19-year-old was later able to leave the apartment, but police say the 37-year-old followed her and threatened her with a small knife during an argument in the street. The young woman called her father, who lived nearby, for help, who immediately drove to her house and also alerted the police along the way.
37-year-old hit several times with a wooden stick
When the father and the 37-year-old met on the street, a verbal and physical altercation ensued, according to police. “During this argument, the 47-year-old struck the 37-year-old several times with a wooden stick he was carrying.” The man suffered minor injuries to the arm.
Following Thursday’s incident, the father was charged with grievous bodily harm, while the 37-year-old was brought to court and remanded in custody for the reported sexual offense and threats.
