A major search was caused by an abandoned vehicle in the Glan near Klagenfurt. The emergency services are still puzzling over who the car could belong to and how it ended up in the Glan.
“A car was discovered in the Glan in the Südring area,” the Klagenfurt fire brigade confirmed to the “Krone”. There were no people in sight in the vehicle or on the banks of the Glan. “All windows are broken,” says operations manager Wolfgang Germ. Nevertheless, the police started a search operation using a helicopter. “We want to stay on the safe side,” Germ said.
Guessing the owner
It is still completely unclear where the vehicle came from. “We are now recovering the car and then we may be able to draw further conclusions,” says the operations manager, who believes it is possible that the vehicle could be a training car for the Carinthian State Fire Brigade Association.
