London police pushed the 13-year-old off the bike because of a water pistol

Date:

London police pushed a 13-year-old off his bike and threatened him with weapons. The boy was also handcuffed. The operation was triggered by a water gun, which has led to new criticism of London’s police.

A police officer on patrol reported a possible firearms incident. Armed units were then sent to the alleged crime scene. In fact, on July 19, a 13-year-old had just had a water fight with a child. The Alliance for Police Accountability (APA) emphasized Thursday that the water guns were clearly toys. One was white and blue and one was purple and white.

Police: There is no crime
The boy was even reportedly arrested. His mother had to confront police and was treated with contempt, they said. First Lieutenant James Conway has since apologized to the family, but sees no wrongdoing. “Our officers are faced with rapidly evolving situations based on the limited information they currently have.” Officers must treat all firearms as real and loaded weapons until proven otherwise.

Racially motivated?
London police have also been accused of racial bias in the case, which remains under investigation. Criticism has been repeatedly expressed for some time. Independent research had already shown that the authority was institutionally racist, sexist and homophobic (see video above). Police Chief Mark Rowley admitted that hundreds of employees were unsuitable for the job.
