In court in Graz – Lecture by Draqueen: Steirer wrote hate posts

Date:

Reading a Draqueen to children prompted a 37-year-old Styrian to post a hate post. This was “unbearable,” judge Christoph Lichtenberg said during the trial in Graz on Friday. The suspect said he regretted what he wrote. He got off easy in court.

“This is something that is being forced on the younger generation today. To sexually deform children and people to popularize pedophilia (sic!),” the defendant wrote in his public comments. He was one of the first to go there with a mask and burn this “f… sh…”.

His lawyer tried to justify the words and spoke of different fates and a burnout on the side of the defendant: “A lot came together then.” That is why he did not accept an initial written offer to distract himself from the public. state attorney general’s office.

“Very high in the ranking of disgusting things”
“Why do you write something like that? For the children it was optional, it was not mandatory like a gymnastics class. I read a lot on social media: what is posted there is unbelievable, but your entry is very high in the disgusting rankings,” Lichtenberg said to the defendant.

Moreover, pedophilia has nothing to do with transgender, the judge emphasizes. The suspect tried to explain how this happened: “They want to convert the children to such a way of life.” The Styrians were bothered by the “open” and “vulgar” discussion on the subject of homosexuality and transgender people.

“It looks like it wasn’t a mistake.”
“I don’t hear extreme detachment from your message. “That does not appear to have been a mistake,” the judge said. ‘I just wanted to explain my motive. “I distance myself from the post,” the 37-year-old quickly said.

For Lichtenberg, this is a “good example of a hate post” and a “typical Facebook hater.” Nevertheless, he wanted to try dialogue first instead of punishment. The suspect was given a diversion, will be given a probationary period and must attend the program “Dialogue instead of Hate” of the Restart association. The deviation applies for a probationary period of two years. The public prosecutor also agreed.
