Shortly after the German border crossing in Bayerisch Gmain, a tractor-trailer and its VW Passat crashed into a walnut tree next to the local school last weekend. Four passengers were seriously injured as a result of the traffic accident.
But the driver simply abandoned them and fled on foot. The emergency doctor and three rescue vehicles reached the scene of the accident. According to the Bavarian Red Cross, the injured were immediately treated and taken to the clinics in Bad Reichenhall and Traunstein.
Meanwhile, Bavarian police officers were looking for the driver of the accident: search dogs and drones were also used to look for the tractor. However, so far without success. The search for the man continues.
