They will carry out partial strikes from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the morning and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the afternoon. Moreover, they will hold demonstrations as the strikes continue.
This Monday, the 23rd, Bilbobus workers will begin a total of ten days of strikes and demonstrations in defense of the collective agreement. On nine of these days, the city public transport company’s staff will carry out a four-hour partial strike, which will end with a 24-hour strike on December 21, coinciding with the Santo Tomás fair in Bilbao.
The call was decided at a meeting in view of the “blocking of the negotiations on the collective agreement” and in defense of the preservation of rights and purchasing power, the UGT Euskadi union said in a statement.
The four-hour strikes that Bilbobus workers will carry out from this Monday will be 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the morning and 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the afternoon.
Two protests a day
Two demonstrations will be held during the strikes. The one that will take place in the morning will start in the Elorrieta garages at 08:00. and ends with a meeting on the steps of Bilbao City Hall.
For its part, the demonstration that will take place in the afternoon will start at 6:00 PM on the Intermodal and ends with a rally on Plaza Circular with Gran Vía.
For the month of November, the strikes will take place on the days 2, 6, 16, 22, 27 and 29. The strikes will take place on days during the month of December 4 and 12.
This call for mobilizations ends on the day itself 21st of December with a 24-hour strike, coinciding with the Santo Tomás fair in Bilbao.
