A traffic accident took place on Zeltweg on Saturday in which a man was seriously injured. The 89-year-old died on Sunday from his injuries.
A few meters next to an existing protection path, an 89-year-old man crossed a street in the Zeltweg district on Saturday around 3 p.m. At the same time, a 73-year-old drove his car from the main street towards Tischlerstrasse. When the motorist saw the pedestrian, he was unable to stop in time despite applying the emergency brakes and collided with the 89-year-old.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries, which were treated at the scene by the emergency doctor. The man was then transferred to the LKH-Murtal (Judenburg base). He died there on Sunday from his injuries.
The car driver was uninjured. Both the breath test and the blood alcohol analysis were negative for both people.
