A fatal accident occurred in Münster on Sunday. A couple was literally buried under a collapsing hut.
On Sunday around 2 p.m., the couple – a 66-year-old resident and his 61-year-old wife – wanted to demolish the summer hut that had been built near their home in Münster. An extraordinary accident happened.
Man has freed himself
When locals nailed down the planks, the 3.5 meter high, 2.5 meter wide and long hut collapsed. The man and woman were trapped. The man managed to free himself and used the company’s own excavator to lift the hut. This allowed the woman to be rescued by the Münster fire brigade.
After emergency medical treatment at the scene of the accident, the rescue team took the couple with serious injuries to the Schwaz hospital. The fire brigades of Münster and Kramsach, the rescue service, two emergency doctors and the police were present.
