The terrible bloodshed on Saturday in Wolfsberg in the Schwarzautal leaves mysteries unanswered. The daughter found the seriously injured mother (47) and desperately tried to revive her.
The fact is: the shooter, 52-year-old Reinhard N., drove to the victim’s house in Wolfsberg in the Schwarzautal (Leibnitz district) on Saturday morning around 7 a.m. The South Styrian fired two shots at Ulrike N. with a hunting rifle that he legally owned, and with the third shot he killed himself. The woman (47) was left seriously injured before being found and resuscitated by her daughter. Unfortunately it didn’t work out in the end.
But the big question that also concerns the researchers is why. What happened to cause this terrible family tragedy? It is known that the two have had an on-again, off-again relationship for a long time. A few weeks ago this ended with the divorce.
According to police, no suicide note was found and there was no argument that led to the gruesome act. However, some discussions are still ongoing. The autopsy of the dead will not take place until Monday.
As the “Krone” learned, Reinhard N. was still in a good mood in Leibnitz on Friday, and during a telephone conversation with an acquaintance in the afternoon, everything seemed fine.
