There has never been anything like this in Austria: a huge wedding! Kronehit, the largest Austrian private radio station, searched for ‘All single ladies’ and found nine cheerful brides who promised to love themselves on Sunday.
Feel like a princess: that was the motto at the very first single wedding with a crown hit. A team of make-up artists styled the nine brides, while there was lots of laughing, chatting and shaking to the music in a relaxed atmosphere. Brief moment of shock: one of the women was missing. But the bride didn’t get cold feet: she showed up again. She hadn’t run away, she’d just been chatting at the gas station.
“The first single marriage with a crown hit – there has never been anything like this before! It was an honor to take one of the brides to the ‘altar!’ to bring, said Kronehit morning show host Meinrad Knapp, who was specially dressed for the wedding on Sunday.

Things got serious at 2 p.m. The wedding march sounded and the nine crown brides entered solemnly, as if standing in a line. Kronehit host Jeremy Fernandes was on hand to perform the ceremony and had the ladies swear their undying love for themselves. The ceremony ended with a ring, which the ladies understandably put on themselves.
After the wedding ceremony the buffet was opened, drinks and wedding cake were served and by the time Single Ladies played the dance floor was stormed and the party continued late into the night. The subsequent wedding night was also taken care of: Self-care after the self-wedding was a special pleasure in the singles wellness hotel!
