Officers of the Vienna police had to intervene on Sunday in a dispute between family members in Brigittenau. However, one of the sons was not at all happy with the intervention: he punched a police officer in the face.
Because family members were unable to resolve their dispute on Nordwestbahnstraße themselves on Sunday, the police had to intervene around 2:30 p.m. While they were trying to resolve the argument, one of the sons, a 22-year-old man from Syria, suddenly attacked one of the officers.
Arrested after being punched in the face
The young man hit the police officer in the face with his fist. Fortunately, he was able to partially repel the attack and was therefore not injured. However, the handcuffs clicked on the Syrian – he was arrested.
