A Czech director and influencer used an unusual PR campaign to promote his latest film: He rained $900,000 in bills on a field where thousands were already waiting for the spoils. The collectors had to solve a puzzle to find out the location and time of the action.
Director Kamil Bartošek – also known as Kazma – has come up with something special to attract viewers to the cinemas. He hid clues to a code in his film ‘Onemanshow: The Movie’, which gave puzzle enthusiasts access to a container filled with 22 million Czech crowns (approx. 890,000 euros).
With this creative idea he achieved record attendance for Czech film productions when the film was released in August. But despite the rush to the cash register, none of the viewers managed to decipher the code – the container with the money in the Prague Exhibition Center remained locked.

But Kazma did not want to keep the money and came up with a new action: he announced that he would rain the treasure on the ground from a helicopter. But there was also a mystery to be solved: the coordinates of the coup were also encrypted – interested parties finally received the clues by email on Sunday.
Thousands of people managed to crack the puzzle and eventually gathered at the meeting point at Lysá on the Elbe – and were showered with banknotes, which were immediately collected diligently.

“It is difficult for us to estimate how many people came, but we estimate that there were four thousand,” Kazma told the Czech newspaper Blesk. As a precaution, police, fire brigade and a private security service were present in case the action got out of hand. “Fortunately, none of this was necessary,” says the 38-year-old with relief.
