A 28-year-old driver of a small truck briefly fell asleep at the wheel in Eggersdorf, north of Graz, on Wednesday morning. He crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a car, injuring the driver.
At around 6 a.m., a 28-year-old from the South-East Styrian district drove a small truck on Eggersdorfer Straße (L364) through the Eggersdorf area (Graz area).
Side impact
According to his own statements, he may have fallen asleep briefly, which resulted in a side collision with an oncoming car driven by a 21-year-old from the Graz area.
The 21-year-old was injured to an unknown extent and was taken to the Graz LKH by the emergency services. The 28-year-old was unharmed. The alcohol tests on both drivers were negative.
