Wild scenes must have taken place in the Telfs sports center (Innsbruck-Land district) on Saturday evening! According to police, a wild brawl broke out between two groups. One person is said to have shouted Hitler slogans several times beforehand. Fists were also flying in Sölden.
It took seven police patrols, three ambulances and an emergency doctor on Saturday evening to contain a wild brawl between two groups and treat the injured. A wild brawl took place at the sports center in Telfs around 9 p.m.
Slogans were the last straw
The trigger was likely a local resident who, according to police, “shouted ‘Heil Hitler’ and ‘Sieg Heil’ several times with his hand raised.” There may have been a violent argument between two groups of local residents.
Ultimately, five people were seriously injured. Three of them ended up in the Innsbruck State Hospital. The police have filed a complaint with the Innsbruck public prosecutor’s office.
A local man punched Hungary in the face
Fists also flew in Sölden on Sunday evening. A taxi driver (43) saw how an unknown man punched a Hungarian (38) in the street around 3:40 am. He took a photo of the suspect and reported the incident to the police. The Hungarian was heavily drunk and was taken to a doctor for further explanation after the first treatment with significant injuries.
The search was successful
A little later, the police were able to arrest a suspect in front of a bar in Sölden. During interrogation, the 19-year-old local resident admitted that he had punched him in the face. He is reportedly at large.
