Trump’s gag order is reinstated in the election fraud trial

Date:

In the criminal trial against Donald Trump for attempted election fraud, the former American president must now keep his words under control. A federal judge on Sunday reinstated the silence order she imposed on Trump in the Washington trial over his 2020 election loss to US President Joe Biden, court documents show.

The order prohibits Trump from verbally attacking prosecutors or witnesses. In the past, Trump has described special counsel Jack Smith as a “deranged lunatic” and a “thug,” among other things.
