A 25-year-old from Salzburg drove his car off the lane on Forstauer Landesstraße late on Sunday evening and fell five meters down an embankment. The man failed the breath test.

In a right turn, the man crossed into the oncoming lane and fell about five meters down a steep embankment. A tree prevented the car from sliding further. The driver managed to free himself and alerted the emergency services.

After initial treatment by paramedics from the Radstadt Red Cross, he was taken to the Cardinal Schwarzenberg Clinic with a suspected broken arm. The 25-year-old failed an alcohol test and the value was 1.04 per mille. The man is reported.
The Radstadt volunteer fire brigade had to rescue the car and therefore the national highway was closed to all traffic for about an hour.
