An explosive incident took place in Paris on Tuesday: a fully veiled woman threatened to blow herself up. She was shot by police in a subway station after ignoring earlier warnings.
The Paris prosecutor’s office said the woman had already made death threats on an S-Bahn train heading to the city center on Tuesday morning. The woman shouted “God is great” in Arabic, the newspaper “Le Parisien” reported, citing police.
Finally, an officer fired a shot and the bullet hit the woman in the stomach. She was admitted to a clinic. No explosives were found on the suspect.
Investigations have also been launched against police officers
According to the Public Prosecution Service, two investigations have been launched: against the woman because of her threats and routinely also against the officer who fired the shot.
