Dressed entirely in black and with a razor as a weapon, an initially unknown perpetrator stormed into a bank branch in Schwertberg (Upper Austria) on October 23. He escapes with a garbage bag full of money. But now the handcuffs clicked. But the 23-year-old perpetrator left little of the loot behind.
An hour and a half after the cash register opened, the robber stormed into the Raika in Schwertberg on October 23, masked with a black Adidas jacket, black scarf and sunglasses. The unusual weapon: a razor. Then it became sporty: the perpetrator jumped over the cash register and threatened the two employees and demanded money, while holding out a garbage bag that he had brought with him.
Perpetrators investigated
In the end there was about 13,000 euros in the bag. The perpetrator flees on foot. But it didn’t take long before the police tracked down the perpetrator. Thanks to extensive investigation by police officers from the State Criminal Investigation Department, a 23-year-old Turkish citizen from Schwertberg was ultimately identified as the perpetrator.
Arrest by Cobra
The man was arrested at his home address on Friday around 10 a.m. by the Cobra task force. During the subsequent search of his apartment, all of the perpetrator’s clothing, including a razor, and a small portion of the loot were found and seized. During interrogation, the 23-year-old made a full confession. He also acted out of financial need.
Prey cheered
The man impressively showed that dealing with money is not his strength. He had already spent most of the loot in whorehouses and hotels. After consultation with the Linz Public Prosecutor’s Office, the man was transferred to Linz prison.
