Every fall, Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi releases a slimmed-down version of its flagship, with the suffix “T” in the name, promising high-quality hardware at a mid-range price. However, after price increases across the sector in recent years, Xiaomi’s “cheap mobile phone” is also becoming increasingly expensive: in the manufacturer’s online store, the new Xiaomi 13T Pro with 512 gigabytes of memory is advertised for as much as 900 euros.
Xiaomi is also approaching the flagship model of 1300 euros in terms of equipment – the test of the Xiaomi 13 Pro can be found here. For the first time, the Chinese have given their ‘entry-level flagship’ a camera with Leica tuning, in addition there is a waterproof (IP68) housing, a top-class CPU from MediaTek, wireless charging and a pleasantly bright OLED display with a high refresh rate. When it comes to features, the Xiaomi 13T Pro doesn’t miss much at first glance. However, at second glance there is certainly room for improvement.
