A man in Dornbirn was clearly reluctant to discuss his cycling accident with Vorarlberg police on Tuesday afternoon. Rather than participate in the accident investigation, the stranger, who spoke with a Russian accent, preferred to walk away.
At around 5:20 p.m., a collision occurred between a previously unknown cyclist and a car on the city street in Dornbirn. The driver was driving on the city street towards Hohenems when he crossed the intersection with Dr. Waibel-Straße collided with the cyclist.
Cyclist ‘flew’ into the windshield
During the collision, the cyclist was thrown onto the windshield of the car and then onto the road. After the cyclist, who was said to be between 50 and 60 years old, was about 1.70 meters tall and spoke with a Russian accent, got up from the ground and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
