Amid rising prices, Lower Austria’s state policy is to some extent investing in itself. As the “Krone” learned, after the visitor center, the meeting room of the state parliament is now also being renovated – at a cost of several million euros. What is being updated and what does the planning look like?
Just over a year ago, the new “Forum State Parliament”, a – as the state calls it – “modern and interactive visitors center, in the government district of St. Pölten” was opened. This ‘meeting place’, as Parliament Speaker Karl Wilfing called it at the opening, cost 2.3 million euros. As the “Krone” learned, eleven more millions could soon flow to the ship of the state parliament, but this time to the meeting room. The amount has probably already been reserved in the budget, which – as reported – will only be presented.
